Penglin Dai (Chinese character 戴朋林) received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the College of Computer Science at Chongqing University (CQU), Chongqing, China, in 2017. He previously earned his B.S. degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics Chongqing University (CQU), Chongqing, China, in 2012. Dr. Dai is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), in Chengdu. He has authored and co-authored more than 70 papers with total google scholar at the top international conferences and journals such as AAAI, INFOCOM, TMC, TSC, TITS, TSMC.
His research interests are primarily focused on several cutting-edge areas, including:
- Edge Artificial Intelligence (Edge AI), emphasizing AI Model Optimization for Edge Devices, Collaborative AI in Edge Networks, etc.
- Autonomous Driving, covering topics like V2X-based Cooperative Perception, Multi-Sensor Fusion for Autonomous Vehicles, and Simulation and Testing of Autonomous Vehicles.
- Internet of Vehicles (IoVs), with a focus on Vehicular Communication Networks, Video Streaming in IoVs, Edge Computing for V2X Networks, Vehicular Crowdsensing, etc.
